VENUS (Venere), a novel by artist XHOVALIN Delia, director and painter

English synopsis: In a cinematographic style, the artist tells the story of an adolescent boy, Cristi, who lives in a little town under a totalitarian system, isolated from the world.

Having fallen in love with Botticelli's Venus, whom he saw in an old Italian photo album from the 1930s that his parents have jealously guarded, Cristi the dreamer runs away during the night and begins his dreamlike journey toward "the Free world". There, he finds the Goddess of Love, takes her back with him to his town with the intention of building a little "Eden" modeled on Florence. But upon his return, he finds that his dream conflicts with reality.
